Kako prošetati Londonom, a ne navratiti u središnji masonski hram svih engleskih masona? Posebno kad je njegov dio otvoren za posjete javnosti – istina, u sam hram se ne može ući bez članstva, no najveća masonska knjižnica, promo shop i sjajan muzejski dio otvoreni su za turističke posjete. Doduše, fotografiranje je strogo zabranjeno, ali riskirao sam za potrebe ovog websitea te okinuo nekoliko fotki – srećom, nisam bio uhvaćen i poslan u podrum na mučenje i žrtvovanje Molochu, hehe.

Sjajan koncert, odgledao ga cijelog na TV-u u Sanctum Soho hotelu (inače u vlasništvu Iron Maidena).

Wow! Nisam ni skužio da sam prebacio milijun posjeta na ovom siteu! Milijun! Tko bi rekao, kad smo prije koje godine Marko i ja lansirali ovaj site čisto kao mjesto za popuniti slobodnu domenu 'da se ne baci', a zatim sam je počeo puniti kao nekakvu mješavinu online vizitke i bloga, ne bi li se ona pretvorila u ovo što je danas... štogod to bilo. Milijun? Pozdrav svima koji su doprinijeli toj brojci, a koja me samo dodatno motivira da nastavim puniti site onako kako sam ga punio do sada, s onim što želim, kada i kako želim... Pa ako se nađe netko na putu kome je to zanimljivo, super. Hvala svima!

Dođoh, vidjeh i ostadoh živ – u najepskijem od svih epskih mosh pitova, a sat i pol svirke (na koju ne treba trošiti previše riječi, osim citirati jedan nasumični lajn s YouTubea: Best couple of hours of my life. It was incredible) proveo sam u samom 'grotlu pakla', ponosan što sam iz njega izišao bez značajnijih posljedica – istina, danas, tri dana nakon spektakla, osjećam se kao da me pregazilo krdo bizona, ali već nakon dva dana splasnula je oteklina na mojoj šaci (nemam pojma odakle mi; iako je lik kraj mene krvario iz nosa, siguran sam da nije moja krivnja), a nakon jednog dana iščezli su i svi podljevi po trbuhu. Vrhunac večeri, koja se vrtjela oko poznate set liste, bilo je kućerušeće finale s 'Welcome Home', kada sam se odjednom iz sredine dvorane/mosh pita s do pasa golim i C&C tetoviranim vojnicima Fencea :), našao u drugom redu ispred Claudija, ni sam ne znam kako – vjerojatno sam doletio sa šakom crowd surfera, koje sam do kraja pjesme nosio na svojim rukama. Pogledate li dobro ovaj video neznanog autora s YouTubea, vidjet ćete moju ruku negdje točno ispod mladića koji klizi po nama, hehe. Ostatak novosti s puta u London uskoro!

How an Icelandic volcano helped spark the French Revolution
Just over 200 years ago an Icelandic volcano erupted with catastrophic consequences for weather, agriculture and transport across the northern hemisphere – and helped trigger the French revolution. The Laki volcanic fissure in southern Iceland erupted over an eight-month period from 8 June 1783 to February 1784, spewing lava and poisonous gases that devastated the island's agriculture, killing much of the livestock. It is estimated that perhapsa quarter of Iceland's population died through the ensuing famine.

Is the internet making us quick but shallow?
During a recent commencement address at Hampton University in Virginia, Barack Obama described the way today's internet-powered media environment "bombards us with all kinds of content."
He warned students that iPads, Xboxes, and other popular digital gadgets can turn information into "a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment" rather than a means "of empowerment."

In general, thrill-inducing behavior is pleasurable because of the brain’s reward systems, which release neurotransmitters such as dopamine and norepinephrine. When these systems are functioning normally, the “brain reward systems serve to direct the organism’s behavior toward goals that are normally beneficial and promote survival of the individual (e.g., food and water intake) or the species (e.g., reproductive behavior)” (Bozarth, 1994). These systems reward thrill-inducing behavior because this behavior is tied to evolutionary relevant gains, such as sex or getting food.
